First up, we will dive into the world of Cloud Concepts 🌩️. Here, we will take a closer look at the latest trends and advancements in Cloud computing 💻. This section will cover everything from the basics to the more advanced topics, providing you with a comprehensive overview of the Cloud landscape 🌃

💻Legacy Modernization Patterns: Legacy applications can power business for years, but when it’s time to add new capabilities or innovate faster, full rewrites are risky and expensive. Instead, modern teams use proven modernization patterns to evolve their systems with minimal disruption and maximum safety. Two standout approaches—leave-and-layer and strangler fig—let you incrementally upgrade your tech stack, unlock new features, and move toward cloud-native architectures at your own pace. Here’s how they work:

💻The leave-and-layer pattern, as detailed in the AWS blog, is a modernization approach where you leave your legacy application unchanged and “layer” new, event-driven features on top of it—often using tools like Amazon EventBridge. This lets you add cloud-native integrations, build new business logic, or connect to SaaS platforms with minimal code changes, no disruption, and much lower risk than full rewrites. You simply enable your old system to emit events, then let new services listen, react, and evolve—so you can deliver value quickly while keeping the core application stable.

💻The strangler fig pattern is another proven approach for legacy modernization. Instead of layering new features alongside your existing app, you incrementally replace pieces of the legacy system—building out new microservices or modules and routing traffic to them while gradually “strangling” the old code. Over time, more functionality is migrated to the new architecture and the legacy app fades away with zero downtime. This lets you modernize safely, applying new tech and patterns feature by feature, without facing the risks of a big-bang rewrite.

⭐ With AgentCore Gateway, you can now unify multiple MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers—whether homegrown or open source—behind a single, managed gateway in Amazon Bedrock. This lets teams centralize tool discovery, authentication, and management for their AI agents, connect MCP servers alongside REST APIs or Lambda, and organize access by business unit or feature set. It’s a huge step toward building scalable, secure agentic AI architectures across diverse domains, and makes maintaining large-scale agent tool ecosystems a whole lot simpler.

Announcements 📢

In the Announcements section 📢, we will keep you up-to-date with the latest news and updates from the world of Cloud and Technology 💬. This section will include information about new releases, events, and other important updates 🗓️.

📢AWS just launched “Capabilities by Region”—a new interactive tool that lets you quickly discover and compare AWS services, features, APIs, and CloudFormation resources across Regions. This makes regional planning, compliance checks, and multi-region deployment design way simpler. You can now browse side-by-side availability (showing live, upcoming, and roadmap states), search for specific features, verify CloudFormation support, and even access the data programmatically via the Knowledge MCP server—removing the guesswork (and trial-and-error) from global AWS rollouts.

Workshops 🛠

The Workshops section 🛠 is where we will provide you with hands-on training and practical workshops to help you build your skills and knowledge in Cloud and Technology 💻. This section will be tailored to meet the needs of developers, architects, and other technical professionals 👨💻.

🛠The “Claude Code in Action on AWS” workshop is packed with hands-on demos—from AI-powered code generation and browser automation for UI tests to intelligent multi-file refactoring and automated PR reviews. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how Claude’s tool use and context management set it apart, and dive straight into building advanced automations, integrating MCP servers, and wiring Claude into your team’s GitHub workflows.
