This section will cover everything from the basics to the more advanced topics, providing you with a comprehensive overview of the Cloud landscape 🌃

💻Kubernetes: Kubernetes is the open-source backbone for orchestrating containers—it automatically deploys, scales, and manages containerized apps in any environment. By grouping containers into Pods and running them across clusters of nodes, Kubernetes brings self-healing, load balancing, and seamless rollouts to modern application infrastructure, powering the cloud-native world.

💡 AWS Concepts 💡

AWS provides a wide range of cloud computing services, and it can be overwhelming to keep up with all the new concepts and terminology. In this section, we aim to simplify some of the key AWS concepts and provide a basic understanding of the services offered by AWS.

From the basics of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) to more advanced topics like Amazon Redshift and Amazon Machine Learning, we’ll cover everything you need to know to get started with AWS.

💡Amazon EKS: Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) is AWS’s fully managed solution for running Kubernetes clusters across AWS and on-premises. EKS removes the heavy lifting of operating Kubernetes—handling upgrades, security, and scaling—while plugging in with AWS services like IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC. Teams get all the flexibility of Kubernetes with the added power, reliability, and integration of AWS

⭐AWS CDK Refactor (Preview): Refactoring your IaC just got a lot safer with CDK Refactor—move resources between stacks, rename, and reorganize without risking downtime or accidental data loss. Finally, you can keep your codebase clean and your resources intact, even as your architecture evolves.
⭐DeepSeek-V3.1 now in Amazon Bedrock: This new hybrid model offers both “thinking” and “fast-answer” modes, giving smarter code generation, agent workflows, and support for 100+ languages. Upgraded benchmarks and better multilingual capabilities make DeepSeek-V3.1 a powerful addition for building global, agentic AI apps in Bedrock.

⭐Qwen3 models now in Amazon Bedrock: Bedrock expands again—Qwen3’s new MoE and dense models from Alibaba are now available, optimized for coding, agent workflows, and long-context tasks. Try out features like hybrid reasoning, extended context windows, and agentic tool calling, perfect for everything from code analysis to business automation.

The Workshops section 🛠 is where we will provide you with hands-on training and practical workshops to help you build your skills and knowledge in Cloud and Technology 💻. This section will be tailored to meet the needs of developers, architects, and other technical professionals 👨💻.

🛠Open Platform for Enterprise AI (OPEA) Workshop: This hands-on workshop shows you how to build production-grade GenAI applications using modular microservices and RAG pipelines—right on AWS, with EKS at the foundation. Big thanks to Ravi Soni (AWS UG Vadodara) for the inspiration—his talk at Community Day made me dive deeper into OPEA. Perfect for anyone interested in deploying enterprise-ready AI that scales.

Community Corner 🤝

We are introducing a new section called Community Corner 🤝, where we will talk about something from the community that you should check out. This section will feature open source projects, meetups, events, and other initiatives from the Cloud and Tech community.

📝 Words from the Author

In this edition, I want to reflect on a lesson that’s reshaped the way I approach building in tech: the power of asking for feedback.

Not long ago, I was working on a side project—a tool I thought would be genuinely helpful for the community. I’d poured hours into the design and code, convinced I was on the right track. But before launching, I decided to share an early version with a few trusted peers and community members, inviting honest feedback.

What I got wasn’t just encouragement, but thoughtful questions and constructive critiques: “Have you considered this use case?” “Why not make this step easier?” “I got stuck here—can you clarify?” At first, it stung a little to see gaps I’d overlooked. But as I listened and iterated, the project evolved into something far more robust and user-friendly than I could have achieved alone.

That experience taught me that vulnerability—admitting you don’t have all the answers and being open to critique—isn’t a weakness in tech, but a superpower. It’s how we grow, build trust, and create solutions that truly serve others. Every bit of feedback is an opportunity to see through someone else’s eyes, to learn, and to improve.

So if you’re working on something new, don’t hesitate to ask for feedback—even if it feels uncomfortable. The courage to be vulnerable is what turns good ideas into great ones, and it’s what makes our tech community stronger.
