In this edition, I want to talk about something we rarely admit in tech—the paradoxical power of stepping away.

A few weeks ago, I decided (almost on a whim) to take a weekend completely off from screens, dashboards, and even my phone. At first, it felt strange—like I was missing out or falling behind. But as the hours passed, I found myself noticing things I’d overlooked: the rhythm of the city, the sound of rain, and even a few ideas that had been quietly brewing in the back of my mind.

When I finally returned to my projects, I was surprised by how refreshed and creative I felt. Problems that had seemed tangled and overwhelming suddenly looked simpler, and new solutions came to me with ease. That short break didn’t just recharge my energy—it gave me a new perspective on why I love building things in the first place.

Sometimes, the best way to move forward is to step back—if only for a little while. If you’re feeling stuck or burnt out, don’t be afraid to unplug. You might just find your next breakthrough waiting for you when you return.
